How to Add English Subtitles to Japanese YouTube Videos

Step 1: Open the YouTube Video

1. Navigate to YouTube: Open your web browser and go to Church of Praise International YouTube or KCI Japan YouTube.
2. Find the Video: Use the search bar to find the Japanese video you want to add English subtitles to.

Step 2: Enable Subtitles (if available)

1. Play the Video: Click on the video to start playing it.
2. Turn on Subtitles: If the video already has Japanese subtitles, click the “CC” button (Closed Captions) to enable them.
   

Step 3: Use YouTube’s Subtitle Feature

1. Click on the Gear Icon: While the video is playing, click the gear icon (⚙️) at the bottom right corner
   
2. Select Subtitles/CC: Click on “Subtitles/CC” and choose “Auto-translate.”
3. Choose Japanese: In the list of languages, select “English”. YouTube will automatically translate the subtitles into English.
